About
Hi, I’m Julianna (she/her)
I’m a Product Designer who creates meaningful human connections through design. With over 5 years of experience working at the intersection of user experience, business, and technology, I shape experiences using a principled approach that helps achieve business goals and engage users.
Currently, I'm a Product Designer & Design Lead at Secret City Studio, where I create experiences that bring people together in new ways. I've had the pleasure of collaborating with teams across various domains, from early-stage startups, established tech companies, and everything in between, encompassing industries such as entertainment, travel, social media, and health and wellness. You can see my full career journey on LinkedIn.
Beyond design, I’m invested in nurturing the next wave of talent - post-secondary students and recent graduates taking their first steps into the world of tech, business and design.
When I'm not deep in Figma or mentoring, you can spot me out and about exploring new foods, trying to make craft cocktails, and shamelessly binging movies. Traveling is a big passion of mine, and I love to experience different cultures and cuisines. If you share a love for food, movies, and travel, let's connect and swap our favourite recommendations!

What I believe in
-
Candid transparency
In my book, trust is built on a foundation of candour. I aim to create space for open dialogue with the people I work with, contributing to a culture that encourages vulnerability and allows us to make decisions as a team.
-
Staying curious
Curiosity is contagious!
I value questioning the status quo, embracing the unknown, and prioritizing learning, and want to work with people who value the same.
-
Diversity and inclusion
I strive to design for all types of people so they see themselves in the work I contribute to the world.
Whether it's finding a sense of community through the apps we navigate or the teams we work with, everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, and embraced.

Designing for good
With great power comes great responsibility. And even though designers aren’t Spiderman, I believe we have the power to shape the future pixel by pixel.
I’m a pragmatic optimist who believes in using design and technology as a tool to create a better future. I want to work with people who are motivated by helping others and making the world a better place for future generations.
